Journal Ethics
The Journal of Computing and Engineering (JCE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical principles for scholarly publishing and expects all participants in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—to adhere to these standards.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Submit original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- Ensure that all data presented are accurate and obtained ethically.
- Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations.
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication.
- Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research.
- Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the work and have approved the final manuscript.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on their academic merit without discrimination.
- Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and the peer-review process.
- Avoid conflicts of interest and make impartial editorial decisions.
- Take appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and within the agreed timeframe.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and not use unpublished information for personal advantage.
- Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
- Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
Publication Misconduct
The journal has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, duplicate submission, and unethical research practices. Manuscripts found to violate these ethical standards may be rejected, retracted, or subject to further investigation.
Conflicts of Interest
All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that may affect the publication process.
Corrections and Retractions
When significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, the journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
